Er ist mit der Schauspielerin Jill Murray verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder. Er vertonte u. a. Desmond Miles aus der Assassin’s Creed- und Nathan Drake aus der Uncharted-Reihe, die ebenfalls von Naughty Dog entwickelt wurde, und war an der Entwicklung von Spielen wie: Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops und Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Prince of Persia, Portal 2 und Halo 3 beteiligt.
