Try not to quote the whole paragraph. Just quote one or two sentences.
No, it would take 200 years for the climate to reach back to pre industrial era. You would still see killer heat waves in California and droughts in New England.
Clickers are just zombies that use echolocation such as blind bats. You can't punched a clicker to death because the fungi acts as armor. The echolocation is very accurate, in close quarters battle they can avoid punches and strike for your neck.
Hmmm, I remember that there was going to be infected animals, like elephants, bears, etc (pretty much escaped zoo animals encountered in Salt Lake). I believe that was a concept at the time though.
Yes hordes do exist. We can see this after Joel, Sam, Ellie, and Henry escape after escaping the last offensive attack by the Hunters at Pittsburgh's suburbs. There is another horde, but that's in part II and I don't want to spoil it for you. If you are asking why aren't there more? Well one, the characters havn't encounter one for survival reasons. Two, the military did bomb the outskirts of QZs in cities and Ellie and Tess mentions that it was successful (overkill in Ellie's view), so there is less infected in North America.
Shamblers and Rat King are two examples of mutation due to Seattle's enviroment, rainly and damp. The Rat King was trapped in the hospital's parking garage since outbreak, almost thirty years. Imagine in hot climates such as New Mexico where infected can mutate into camel like creatures. My guess to why Rat King is huge is because the fungi growing on their bodies became stuck to one another and the damp garage makes it easier.
The four stages reported by FEDRA, I call those the default four because you can pretty much find them everywhere in the world. However Shamblers are unique to their location as I noted before.
I also think stalkers have a lot more intelligent than other infected. Noted in the lore, fungi takes over the brain entirely which gives the stalkers the human complexity of 'planning' such as ambushing. Really cool stuff.
This is kinda late and my answer is going to be similar to m67 and Snivy, but I'm bored so here is my take.
Joel was never a saint. After entering the garage in Pittsburg in the beginning, he mentions he has been on both sides (hunter like). This is the post-apocalypse, no one is a saint but to deny mankind a vaccine to this infection is straight up wrong. He was a selfish man, but I man did I like his character. I too was saden by his death but we must accept his fate. As noted before by M67, his death servers a narrative purpose for Ellie to venture out into the unknown......Seattle.
"Number one movie in America!"
All jokes aside this video is awesome. Great work! How long did it take to create this?
The stalker still have some vision and starting to receive their echolocation. With the fungi fully taking over their brain, they know how to use human ablities such as planning and communicating.
I believe it was the rain that cause the mutation. My guess is the Fungi growing on the outside collects the rain, however too much rain probably cause a mutation.
I want to see Ellie being taught by Sgt Winston on riding a horse at the abandon mall. I think this could be a good short film.
The Rat King was the scariest infected I ever seen, because I wasn't expecting it. I was expecting more bloaters or something. I am very interested on how the infected fused together, and they have been down there since outbreak. Imagine other extremely rare infected in other abandoned locations.
I hope in the HBO series or the third game we will see more rare infected.
My guess is most of the active QZs are down South, and the Midwest. South because weather is preferred among humans. Most cattle and farms surrounds the Mississippi River so FEDRA will set up some security around those locations. I wouldn't be surprised if they have fishing vessels. Gotta adapt to this new world somehow. Now that the Fireflies are gone, they don't have to worry about uprisings supported by them.
Not going to lie, it was really sad
Now they are officially disbanded, I don't know why they set up a base when San Fran would provide more protection
I have to disagree because
A) why would they set up base at Salt Lake City and not San Fran
B) New info, the fireflies were disbanded as you play the museum flashback level...
Quick heads up, many soldiers did join the WLF. So yes, it’s possible that soldiers did join other factions.
Over time the military probably become harsher to the citizens over a fear of a Pittsburg style take over. I would be very surprised if they maintained a Hawaii QZ.
We all played the game and documented the lore onto this website
