What's on your mind?
I'm playing TLoU for the first time and I've run into a problem: My shotgun is missing! I got one from Bill, but I noticed it had vanished shortly after the next work bench. The only weapons in my long gun slot are the rifle and bow. I figured the shotgun must have been dropped or broken and I just didn't notice, but I'd pick up a new one later. But now I find myself in Frank's garage and there are more shotguns in the corner. I can't even pick those up, the game says "Full". So I'm stocked on shotgun ammo, but I don't have the weapon itself.
What the hell happened to my shotgun?!

Hello how are you?
I would like you people to help me.
This questionnaire will be a data collection instrument for my graduation work in the Design course. The purpose of applying this questionnaire is to verify emotional responses regarding the game The Last of Us. To know how people felt during their playthrough or just watching the gameplay.
I request your cooperation to answer the questionnaire honestly. In addition, your anonymity is guaranteed, since all data will be treated together.

I dont know if it's just me or more of you all out there, but wouldn't it be cool if they made games or shows or mini movies of different stories from The Last of Us universe of different survivors, like a Tommy spin off or something, kind of like Left Behind or the incoming Homecoming. "Tales From the Last of Us" i imagine it as, but I think it'd be neat.
Hello everyone, I hope someone will be able to help :)
Just got TLOU 1 for PS3 but I have a game breaking issue when I reached the Sewer level. There are instances when the texture does not load up whenever I want to open a door or climb up. The speech audio is missing sometimes (although the gunfire and running sounds are present). I also get the infamous black screen too and the game will not load up...ever.
I did not have any major problems before, just some minor audio issues and the black screen once. However, the Sewer level was where shit just hit the fan anf the game became unplayable.
I am not sure that my Ps3 has any issues because I have over 50 games (all of them are hard copies) and the console can start them up without any issues. This is the only game so far that I cannot play.
Can someone please help me out with this? I would greatly appreciate it :)
Thanks in advance.
Hello everyone! First time posting here. I am an award winning professional filmmaker and actor in the United States along with my creative team. We have produced several short films and two full length feature films including another one soon to be produced (once the Cordyceps... oops, I mean COVID is over and done with). BUT since the release of TLOU Part 2, which I myself am still playing, we've seen the discussions, posts, comments, etc. One thing my team and I, despite loving, being disappointed, or completely hating the game, all missed and we're sure everyone else missed seeing more of in Part 2 was one thing... more of Ellie and Joel.
There's something we want to discuss with all of you. We want to create a fan film or series (depending upon demand) based on THE LAST OF US parts 1 and 2. We know we can create something beautiful, professional, well-acted, and as close to canon as possible even though obviously we'll only be making a fan production. But if we're going to be making something for the fans, we need to ask the fans! This of course includes us as the filmmakers as we love the universe of TLOU as much as all of you! What we ultimately want is more of Joel and Ellie. But what do you all want? What were you most disappointed in with Part 2 or felt was lacking? Do you even want more of our leading protagonists? We want to hear from as many of you as possible. Help us to spread the word. We will see what the most common consensus is for desired storytelling and take that and apply it as best we can to this film.
We look forward to hearing from all of you and bringing something fresh to life for all of you to look forward to!
Is there a way to filter the sexual content for this game? I know on other games you can filter the gore and language (I don't need to do that). But for my kid to play this I would like to filter out the sexual content. Is that a setting? Thanks for all your help.
The reason that I hate part 2 is that they killed off in my opinion probably the greatest video game protagonist in modern gaming. The reason I liked Joel so much is that he wasn't the standard hero of the game who did everything by the book or for the betterment of the world. This was a man who had experienced true lose and then had to survive the harsh new world that he was thrust into. The fact that he had to struggle to survive on top of the fact that he had lost one of the most important people in his life made him immediately connect to the player as we have all experienced lose at some point in life. In my opinion the way the first game ended was very appropriate because Joel had seen so much of the worst in humanity in the twenty years since his daughter died that he decided that humanity didn't deserve to be saved. The way that Joel can relate to the player makes him a character that is seen as a grieving father and man that has had to do horrible things just to simply survive. The way that they killed him was complete and utter horse shit that I deleted the game for my save files. Joel was a man that shows you how a normal person would reacte in that type of world and the hard decisions that we would have to make in order to protect those we love. I will never finish this game because I see it as insult to everything that Joel stood for and did in the first game and a insult to everything the player went through with him on his journey. Rest In Peace Joel Miller you will be remembered as the badass yet loving father you always were.
-Take with grain of salt.
Obviously its the infected. You need walls around the place you call home so you're protected. Besides the infected....the military (U.S. Federal Government). However compromises were made...
To become a city, the location needs a population of 100,000. Currently there are 310 cities in the U.S. In the wake of the fungal infection across the Earth causing a pandemic. The federal government focused on survival in the cities. To operate a city, you need power, food for citizens, and fuel for vehicles. Farms, mines, oil wells, and some power plants (support locations) are located outside of the city. In theory, if the federal government did plan to put a QZ in all 310 plus the support locations, The military is looking at over 500 locations to occupy to meet demandes.
Lets be a little bit more realistic, not all cities will be QZs. Some are more important than others and the limited amound of soldiers to deploy. Questions asked about why there wasn't military aid to Pittsburg or Hartford. My guess to this question is there are similar quarantine zones that produce the same supplies and the military was low on rations to give out. Compromises were made. To my knowledge, Atlanta is the biggest quarantine zone in the U.S. The top brass and over 28,000 men are station there. Also including the Center for Disease Control still looking for a vaccine and has the infastructure to mass produce. Around Atlanta, there are cotton farms that are used for clothing.
Each region of the U.S. has there speciality. Most agriculture is located around the Mississippi River, cattle in the Mid-West, oil in the South, and mines in the mountains. Then there is the power plants located outside of the QZs. In Jackson county, the military once occupied the Jackson Hydrodam (now part of Tommy's settlement). Military is in control of many types of power plants, Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant generates energy for New York City and its possible the military has a QZ there and operating at least one reactor.
As spoken before, Pittsburg fell with due to the Fireflies, a militia in the country. People ask if the Fireflies control more land than the military. This isnt plasuible because they dont control any quarantine zones. They operate a hospital in Salt Lake City, UT as their main base. The militia isnt big enought to go head on with the military so they use citizens as their main weapon to overthrow the QZs.
Its not recorded how many locations the military occupies in the U.S. However, it still more than any other faction, but the infected still run wildly.
Does this include the oceans surrounding the U.S.? Yes and no. The BostonQZ mentions soldiers patrolling the docks using boats. I doubt there is still a navy. If there is, then its very small and used for protecting cargo ships, but this is another discussion. Its possible that the military favors Southern states for their weather.
In the beginning, the story is set up to make the Fireflies as the group of hope which they are. Their goal is bring back power to the end martial law and bring back pre-pandemic government. To do this, they need quarantines to conquest, but they don't have any other than the hospital in Salt Lake City.
The group doesn't have the numbers to take down the military. They use the citizens in zones to help over throw the military. One example of this tactic is the Pittsburgh Quarantine Zone which was a successful operation in the eyes of the group until the aftermath. The citizens didn't want to take commands from some queen from another city. As a result, the group was kicked out.
After the fall of Pittsburgh, the military need to step up their game. Which they did, the battle of Boston was in the military favor and it serverly weakened the Fireflies. Before I continue, I don't know how many are in the ranks of the Fireflies. So also take this with a grain of salt.
Does the Fireflies have any QZs? Pontentially San Francisco could be one, but highly doubt it. The only evidence we have is a doctor came from there. They now occupy a hospital in Salt Lake City to conduct research towards find a cure.
Do you like the Fireflies? Personally no, especially what happen in Pittsburgh. I would rather have the military in control. What happen in Pittsburgh? The citizens turned to cannibalism, loss of innocence. Yea, the military is cruel, they can care less about you, but it's their job to protect you. I wouldn't want to live outside of the wall.
If you woke up tomorrow morning and found yourself living in Joel and Ellie's post-apocalyptic World how do you think you'd get on?
Are you a born survivor or would you likely end up being munched on by the infected? Could you outrun a stalker or runner? Are you physically strong enough to escape the grasp of a clicker?
Would you follow govenment advice to evacute your home / business or would your personality / current cirumstances likely see you defying their orders and going down the route of fortifying your home and trying to sit out the worst of the ensuing shitstorm?
In The Last Of Us those who do try to go it alone don't seem to have much success. From the group that set up home in the Sewers to those stragglers we see being gunned down by the armoured truck. The house in the Suburbs with the warning written on the front of it. No sign of life from that either. What a horrendous decision to have to make.
