Amy is a supporting character in the second season of HBO's The Last of Us. She is a member of the community living in Jackson, Wyoming, and works as a radio operator for the town.

Biography

Background

Not much is known about Amy's background, except that she is a survivor of the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak who eventually joined the community of survivors living in Jackson, Wyoming. At some point, she was confined to a wheelchair due to unknown circumstances. She eventually became a radio operator for Jackson, communicating with and commanding the patrols that went out to scout for infected or other survivors.

Season 2

On January 1, 2029, Amy was in the radio room contacting numerous patrols about the snowstorm. She revealed the signal was becoming difficult to register from the several patrols. Tommy, after hearing from patrol in the mountains that visibility was low, gave the order for Amy to recall all of the patrols to Jackson or seek shelter. Amy gave the command, notifying Jesse and Ellie on their patrol in Cottonwood. Despite multiple attempts though, she was unable to get a reply from Joel and Dina on their patrol at Copper Mine. Tommy came into the room, concerned his brother was the only one not responding. He ordered Amy to keep sending out signals, insistent she do it every ten seconds. With the pair still unresponsive, Amy radioed to Jesse and Ellie to ask if they had heard from Joel and Dina. The pair replied they had not, but Amy's request spurred them from their hiding point to try to find them.
