Thanks.
In this video of Last of us playthrough with Troy Baker and Nolan North, actor Brandon Scott that played Henry appeared as guest and revealed some very interesting information about Henry's and Sam's past.
This links to video on youtube with specific timestamp where they start talking about said events:
The Last of Us | The Definitive Playthrough - Part 8 (ft Troy Baker, Nolan North, Brandon Scott)
The information includes that Sam is actually Henry's half sibling and that Sam is a result of a rape of Henry's mom. Henry actually despised Sam for a long time because he reminded him of what he lost. After death of their mother, Henry found himself in a situation when he wanted to get rid of Sam. (I write this in order he talks about stuff in the video, but I actually think that he meant that the hatred started or at least climaxed when their mother died, after which he must took resposibility of the kid but not voluntarily. This continued for a while and then the idea of getting rid of Sam came to him)
But he realised looking at the baby Sam still was at the time that he could not do it. From that moment on he took care and protected Sam. Main reason being similar to Ellie's (Scott explains) that it has to be for something - I think he means the suffering and surviving actually started to make sense when he started to care for somebody new after he lost his mother
Hey fellow editors!
I know we discussed changing the navbar a few months ago, the discussion for which can be found here, but I've realised as of late how the inclusion of the split bars for characters - one for The Last of Us and one for Part II - has meant that our community nav links have been lost as date compression means the navbar can only contain four sections inputted from us as the Explore and Discuss bars are mandatory.
In my eyes, the loss of the community navigation is massive as it means users lack a section to access things like the policy pages and the staff team and several other useful links to the community.
So, I propose we do one of two things:
1) We unite the four split bars into a single section marked "Universe", "The Last of Us World" - words to that effect. That way, space is freed up and the community navbar can come back. An actual tried and tested example of this has been done at Avatar Wiki.
Or, given removing four bars will leave loads of free space:
2) We keep The Last of Us and Part II sections but remove the character bars, merging them under their respective game headings.
Naturally, merging the character tab means we will be unable to continue the "Good", "Bad" and "Ugly" drop down menus as we are currently doing. To correct this, we can make separate character page for Part II (as already have all media's main characters piled into a massive list on the Characters page) so the merge is easier rather than us putting only select "important" characters in.
It would be greatly appreciated it you could voice your opinion on the matter. If you have your own ideas for how we could resolve the issue, please state below. Likewise, if you feel things are fine and the loss of the community bar is not that big, state such.
As always, keep a cool head - no verbal attacks on others users.
Thanks! ^_^
Hey fellow editors! Given Part II is getting ever closer to release, it's time to discuss a few maintenance matters that the staff team would like to know if you, our editors, would like to change.
There are three main issues up for discussion - these are:
1) The welcome messages. Currently, when users join the wiki, only staff members M67PattonZippo and NinjaFatGuy are provided as references for new users. Do you feel it would benefit users more to list the entirety of the staff team, namely myself, and our moderators Brainwasher5 and Riley Heligo or should we keep the message as is with just two out of our five-man strong staff team?
2) As Part II will see a big influx of new characters, the navigation bar may need to be changed. As of now, all characters are wedged into one drop down menu as "Good", "Bad" and "Ugly". Do you feel we should keep it as one separate bar housing all the characters (which could lead to an incredibly large list) or do we split them up into two separate drop down menus - keeping the currant format - but have one for the first game's characters and another for Part IIs characters once it is released?
3) Should the [[Category:Survivors]]
be deleted? As of now, all characters stacked into the category are also found in the [[Category:Characters]]
, meaning we essentially have two categories doing the same job. What do you all think? Should we do away with the former entirely and have the latter as the sole category for those characters?
It would be greatly appreciated it you could voice your opinion on the three matters above, voicing your support in favor of the changes, or stating you feel things are fine the way they are. Naturally, the more you say for your point, the better justified it should come across in the discussion below. As always, keep a cool head - no verbal attacks on others users. We are discussing some big changes to benefit the wiki as a whole, so let's keep things civil.
Thanks! ^_^
Okay, so it just realized that there is an "Enemies" category and the only question I have is why, especially in a universe like this? Every opponent you face in the game is a mere survivor like Joel or Ellie. Even Joel mentioned doing the same thing that the Hunter's did. So I feel like the category is a very black and white thing to have.
Are the characaters being generalized because they're Joel's enemy? If so, I wouldn't necessarily characterize Marlene, a woman who wanted a vaccine for human-kind, an enemy. She wanted what she thought was best.
Another example would be Tess, who shot a smuggler in the head and killed Robert although he really tried to negotiate something with her. Shouldn't she be characterized as an enemy? I feel the category is unneeded.
If you are ever in a boss in this part, play this theme: Final Crackletta-Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, Adventures End-Mario and Luigi Dream Team, and Final Battle-Mario and Luigi Partners In Time
Hello we are a team of Content Creators from YouTube and we are creating a TV Show Style of 'The Last Of Us' Gameplay and our idea is to spread the game all over fandom for those who can't play the game but wish to see it anyway. So we created a TV Show Edition so that everyone can see it without the disadvantages of an ordinary gameplay like player death and other issues and without much time consuming. If you want watch the 'Pilot' episode and see for yourself.
Thank you for your attention!

We've had a couple of...issues with a certain contributor that I will not name here for the sake of his or her dignity.
It started a while back on [thread]. The contributor spammed (excessively), made personal attacks on me, and sockpuppeted (attempting to use multiple IDs to manufacture support for his cause). S/he then proceeded to act in a manipulative manner, telling me that s/he would "kill [himself]" because of my dislike of him/her rather than apologizing in an appropriate fashion. After being banned for writing petty insults on my wall, s/he immediately created a new account to be able to continue posting on the wiki, before getting into edit wars by putting opinionated, unprofessional language on pages multiple times (see the pistol auto-zoom page as an example). S/he has most recently made open attacks on another contributor for allegedly hacking. While the other contributor maintained decorum for much of their conversation, their politeness was not reciprocated. In fact, they were attacked in a way that was highly similar to the way I was attacked months earlier (telling us both to go to hell, for instance).
I know that they have indicated remorse, and that they were banned for three days. But where do we draw the line between forgivable behavior and, well, unacceptable behavior? I am of course biased in the matter, but do you guys think a more long-term ban should be enforced on people who break multiple rules and personally attack multiple contributors? It looks bad for the wiki, it's not productive, and it is frankly childish.
As an admin on other wikis, I usually enforce a three strikes out rule followed by successively longer bans, depending on the weight of the infringement. I know I'm not an admin here, but it's a suggestion. I am all for forgiveness of a contributor that has been shown to do productive work or has simply had a couple of misunderstandings, but given this particular contributor's track record I am doubtful that his/her continued presence on this wiki would do more good than harm.
Was thinking that as many Wiki's have them maybe a timeline of events may be interesting.
I know the outbreak started in late 2013 and the Summer ark is mid 2033, so thats a start. And Ellie was born circa 2019 and that was probably around the time the Fireflies were formed (maybe Tommy knew her Mother?).
I'd say Joel and Tommy drifted for a few years making it up too Boston falling in and out of several groups before starting too smuggle with Tess.
What do you all think? I'm not capable too do it myself but can be good at finding things out but am bad at putting it together. Any in?
He does mention being caught up with them and other groups and no suprise in that sort of caos many would. But that groan of displeasure seemed he was not exactly proud of it.
I'd say it was while he and Tommy were heading up too Boston after the outbreak they got caught up with many groups over the years. He got too know their actions and was involved in that stuff but it seemed they (mostly Tommy) were not happy with it, Joel may be many things but in even he probably still had some humanity left in him and saw it as "below him".
I do see him as a violent anti-hero who was confused by the outbreak and trumatised by his childs death would do some bad stuff but probably felt Sarah wouldn't approve of it and got into sumggling as it was a living without always having too get that low.
this page is useless, and correlates in no way whatsoever with this game
Maybe we can add pictures and links on the home page so you can get to the more important pages quicker, such as Weapons, Workbenches, Charactures, and Locations instead of having to look at "The Last Of Us" Tab.
