Caleb is a supporting character in the second season of HBO's The Last of Us. He is a patrolman of the community living in Jackson, Wyoming, who would often train in hand-to-hand combat with Ellie Williams.

Biography

Background

Not much is known about Caleb's background, except that he is a survivor of the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak who eventually joined the community of survivors living in Jackson, Wyoming. He would rise to the position of patrolman and often train in hand-to-hand combat.

Events of HBO's The Last of Us

Season 2

In December 2028, Caleb helps Jesse run a training session for Ellie. However, Joel had instructed him beforehand to go easy on Ellie. She goes on to win the fight, subduing and making him tap out with an arm bar. However, Caleb reveals afterwards Joel's orders, causing Ellie to criticize him and insist he not pull his punches next time.

Physical appearance

Caleb is a tall man with short black hair with a center part, and a black beard. He wears a maroon jumper, trousers, and boots.

Personality

Caleb was a loyal member of Jackson and obedient to Jesse. He honored his command to go easy on Ellie, pulling his punches to avoid a scolding from Joel. He was prideful though, feeling the need to point out he went light on Ellie to save face when he lost to her.
