Events of HBO's The Last of Us[]
Season 2[]
In April 2029, three months after the attack on Jackson and Joel Miller's death, Carlisle volunteered to participate in the debate Ellie initiated to send a group of patrolmen to Seattle to track down and kill Joel's murderers. While expressing sympathy for Ellie and acknowledging his affection for Joel, Carlisle argued that Jackson thrived as a community because it upheld religious values such as forgiveness, even toward enemies. Although he admitted he was not a Christian, he supported this philosophy and urged the council to follow it. His comments prompted Seth to interrupt without being given permission to speak, shouting his contempt for what he viewed as a display of weakness.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
