Denise is a minor character in the first season of HBO's The Last of Us. She was the neighbor of the Millers and the Adlers in Austin before the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak.[1]

Events of HBO's The Last of Us[]
On the night of the outbreak, she saw Joel, Sarah, and Tommy about to leave the neighborhood after killing an infected Nana. A confused Denise called out to them and Joel warned her to go back inside and lock her door. Whilst driving away, Tommy and Joel encountered Danny and Connie, who had been bitten by Nana, and had turned. Tommy ran over Connie and drove away, shocking Denise who immediately ran over to check on her. It was then that Danny jumped on Denise, where she is presumed to have either been infected or died.[1]
