The forward operating base (FOB), informally called the front, is a location in The Last of Us Part II. Found in Seattle, it is the Washington Liberation Front's primary military base and serves as their main headquarters outside of and beyond SoundView Stadium. It was a former apartment complex before the WLF converted it into a fortress and prison to house Seraphite prisoners for interrogation.
The parking lot houses their vehicles, notably Humvees. The courtyard area contains kennels for their dogs, like Alice and Bear, while the rest of the area contains tents, workbenches, briefing rooms and a field hospital which Nora Harris works in. Some of these tents also serve as makeshift morgues for the WLF's deceased soldiers in body bags, awaiting transportation back to the stadium for burial purposes. Danny's corpse was one of the many bodies that were contained here shortly after a skirmish with Seraphites in April, 2038.
The actual apartment buildings themselves contain two vital areas. The lower levels have been converted into torture chambers and interrogation rooms which certain WLF members use to torture Seraphites. Isaac Dixon personally leads these interrogations. The upper levels serve as living quarters and recreation rooms, with Isaac's room utilized for mission debriefings, notably with Abby Anderson and Manny Alvarez for the planned invasion of the Seraphites' island.[1]
