Greenplace Market is a minor location in The Last of Us Part II. It was formerly a supermarket located in Jackson County, and was later visited by Ellie and Dina on one of their routine patrols.[1]

History[]

Background[]

Greenplace Market was a supermarket constructed in the small town of Teton Village neighboring Jackson, Wyoming sometime before 2013. At some point, Kristen and Mina were hired as employees. Mina's dog received the Employee of the Month award for the month of July 2013.

After the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak began, the store closed down and the married couple who owned it began using it as shelter from the infected and other survivors. Not long after, an unnamed person broke into the store in order to find insulin and attacked the owner's husband in the process. After the encounter, the person left a note apologizing to the owners, claiming that they intended to cause no harm and that they needed the insulin for their younger sister who had lost feeling in her feet.

The store was eventually left abandoned and overrun by infected, including runners and clickers. The fates of the owners remain unknown.

Events of The Last of Us Part II[]

During March of 2038, Ellie and Dina notice the presence of infected at the supermarket while on patrol together. Ellie can find the apology note in the back of a semi-trailer parked at the loading dock. While inside, she can also find a note from Mina hinting at the combination for a nearby safe that can be unlocked. Together, Ellie and Dina clear out the building of all the infected and return to their horses to continue their patrol.
