Sometime before the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak, Heather enrolled as a student at the University of Eastern Colorado. After the outbreak had reached the campus, an unnamed student wrote in a journal that they saw a group of runners around the campus, including one who looked like Heather, speculating that it was her.[1]
