Jenn is a character mentioned in The Last of Us Part II. She is a meteorologist who is affiliated with the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) in Seattle. She shared a brief romantic encounter with Manny Alvarez.[1]

Biography[]

Background[]

Not much is known about Jenn's background, except that she is a survivor of the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak who eventually joined the Washington Liberation Front in Seattle, Washington. She is a meteorologist—a scientist who studies and researches weather patterns—whose knowledge in the field proved valuable to the WLF. Isaac Dixon, the commander of the group, would occasionally assign her to outings to monitor and analyze incoming weather conditions.

In the spring of 2038, Isaac sent Jenn on an expedition to Mount Rainier to study the incoming weather. Much to her excitement, she observed a strong thunderstorm developing outside of Seattle and predicted it would reach the city within the next few days. After descending the mountain, Jenn returned to Seattle to report her findings to Isaac. She would later spend an intimate evening with Manny Alvarez at his and Abby Anderson's apartment at SoundView Stadium, during which she enthusiastically spoke about her job and the approaching storm before the two had sex.[1]

Isaac later incorporated her findings into his plan to launch a full-scale invasion of the Seraphites on their island, using the storm as cover for the WLF's ambush.

Events of The Last of Us Part II[]

The following day, after Jenn and Manny's encounter, Manny found Abby sleeping in the stadium's library and woke her, informing her that they had been called up for duty on the front lines. He thanked her for giving him the apartment for the night, prompting Abby to ask who he had been with this time, initially assuming it was another of Manny's casual flings. He clarified that it was the "weather chick," mentioning how she had "talked his ear off" about the approaching storm. When Abby asked if it was worth it, Manny replied that he could die happy now. Abby added that he would never find anyone better than Jenn.

Later, as Abby returned to the apartment before heading out for duty, she noticed Jenn's bra draped over the banister. Picking it up, she remarked, "Scientist, huh?" before tossing it toward Manny's side of the room. After reuniting with Mel and checking Alice out of the kennels, Mel mentioned seeing Manny with Jenn the night before. Manny confirmed this, explaining that Jenn was in town on an assignment for Isaac. Mel commented that it must be a lonely job, to which Manny replied that Jenn genuinely enjoys her work, joking that Mel should ask her about cumulus clouds sometime. Mel then remarked that, despite the loneliness, at least she gets to avoid combat.[1]

Relationships[]

Manny Alvarez[]

Jenn and Manny shared an intimate, one-time encounter following her return from a weather expedition for Isaac Dixon. During the evening, Jenn confided in Manny and enthusiastically spoke about her work and the approaching storm, though Manny later described it as her having "talked his ear off." The two later had sex at his and Abby's apartment. Manny would later remark that enduring her explanations was worth it, suggesting he found the experience personally satisfying.[1]
