Mrs. Lauterstein lived in Austin, Texas, and got married at some point. She worked as a middle or high school teacher at a public school, where she taught Sarah Miller.
Events of HBO's The Last of Us[]
On September 26th, 2003, she taught Sarah and the rest of her class like usual. At the end of the lesson, she reminded them about homework that was due in the following week. However, later that day, the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak occurred, sending society into chaos and ending the public school system. Mrs. Lauterstein's fate following the outbreak is unknown.[1]
