Biography[]

Background and early life[]

Little is known about Leon except that he was the son of Elise Park and was a survivor of the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak. He lived in the Seattle quarantine zone and was a member of a WLF squad stationed in Lakehill Hospital in the city.[1]

Season 2[]

Before April 2029, the latest truce with the Seraphites broke and the WLF were once more at war with them. Hanrahan ordered Elise's unit to clear Lakehill Seattle hospital out to prepare it as a base to use in the war. Elise's unit did so, clearing everywhere except the basement levels: B1, B2, and B3. An older member of Elise's unit suspected they had not been searched since the hospital was quarantined shortly after outbreak day. She sent Leon and his squad to clear B1 anyway but they found it completely deserted. The following day, she gave them permission to clear B2. When they did so, Leon radioed back that they had discovered a mass of Cordyceps all over the corridors but that it was airborne, emitted by spores from the trapped patients. Scared it could get out of the hospital and kill all of the WLF, Leon ordered his mother to seal him and his squad inside. Elise reluctantly did so, condemning Leon to die in the basement.

By April 2029, Leon had fully turned into an infected and his body fused in with the spore-covered walls. The Cordyceps converted his body into a spore-emitter of the fungus, Leon contributing along with his squadmates and long infected patients to fill the air entirely with spores. Nora and Ellie encountered him during the latter's pursuit of the former. Ellie inspected Leon's body, finding him conscious but unable to speak, only able to breathe spores in her direction.[1]
