Lone Star Watch & Jewelry is a minor location in HBO's The Last of Us. It is a store owned by Nasir and Tahira where Sarah Miller goes to have her father's wristwatch repaired for his birthday.
History[]
Background[]
Lone Star Watch & Jewelry is a clock and jewelry repair store in Austin, Texas, owned by a Lebanese couple, Nasir and Tahira.
Events of HBO's The Last of Us[]
On September 26, 2003, Sarah Miller took the city bus following a day of school to visit Lone Star Watch & Jewelry to have her father's watch fixed for his birthday. Sarah is surprised at the jeweler-watchmaker Nasir's offer to fix her watch for only $20. As he fixes it, police cars can be seen speeding by the store, and Tahira—the store's co-owner—walks in demanding that the store be closed. She returns the repaired watch to Sarah and ushers her out of the store, locking the door behind her and closing the blinds.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the background of the shop's interior, one can see the eye symbol that is a part of Ellie's bracelet given to her by Dina in The Last of Us Part II.[1]
