At some point before 2038, Lyra joined the Seraphites and lived on the island a short boat ride from Seattle. She was studious, eventually becoming a teacher for the Seraphites.[1]

In April, 2038, Lucia sent Marcus received a note ordering he ensure a portion of the venison was distributed to Lyra and her family as a reward for her high quality teaching among the villagers.[1]
