Biography

Background

Not much is known about Marshall's background, except that he is a survivor of the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak who eventually joined the community of survivors living in Jackson, Wyoming. At some point, he became acquainted with Gail Lynden and regularly supplied her with beer, which contributed to her increasing alcoholism following the death of her husband, Eugene Lynden.

In April 2029, Gail attended a youth baseball game in Jackson, where she drank a beer while seated in a lawn chair next to a cooler filled with additional bottles. Tommy Miller approached her, and the two engaged in small talk before Gail offered him a beer, mentioning that she received them from Marshall. Tommy accepted and sat on the cooler as the two continued their conversation.
