Maryanne is a character who is mentioned in The Last of Us Part I. She was a civilian in Boston who was suspected to be a Firefly, who was then taken into custody by FEDRA.[1]

Background and early life[]
Maryanne was a survivor of the Cordyceps brain infection pandemic and lived in Boston. FEDRA suspected she was suspected to be a Firefly.[1]
Events of The Last of Us Part I[]
While Joel and Tess are walking through Boston, they hear two civilians mention that Maryanne was taken into custody by the military.[1] Five other civilians suspected of Firefly affiliation were handcuffed, lined up against a wall and shot by soldiers on Jordan Street, leaving Maryanne's fate unknown.
