Military pamphlet is the second collectible artifact, and the second collectible overall, in The Last of Us. It is found during the "Beyond the Wall" section of the second chapter, "The Quarantine Zone".[1]
Description[]
A pamphlet produced and distributed by the Federal Disaster Response Agency (FEDRA) detailing the four stages of the Cordyceps brain infection: runners, stalkers, clickers, and an undisclosed fourth stage due to the corner of the page being torn off. It includes a table with sketches of the physical effects and a brief description of each stage's behavior. The colloquial names of the stages and summarized notes are scrawled across the page.[1]
Acquisition[]
After dropping into the east smuggling tunnel with Tess, the player will be required to pick up Joel's backpack from a nearby table. The artifact will be automatically acquired for the player as it will already be among Joel's personal possessions.[1]

Behind the scenes[]
- The fourth stage is later revealed to be the bloater. The page was torn intentionally by the game developers, so as not to ruin the surprise of encountering the first bloater in "Bill's Town", the fourth chapter.
