Before the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak, Rachel lived in Lincoln with her partner, Ezra. When soldiers came to Lincoln to evacuate the town, he attempted to call her and waited as long as he could, but ultimately had to leave. He packed up some of their things and left a note telling her to meet him in the quarantine zone.[2]
Events of The Last of Us Part I[]
In the summer of 2033, Joel and Ellie find Ezra's note to Rachel. Ellie comments how she hopes the woman survived to which Joel responds apathetically.[1]
