The Reclaimed Territories is the third and final DLC for Factions MP, the competitive online multiplayer mode in The Last of Us. The pack was released on May 6, 2014 in the United States and on May 7, 2014 worldwide, available for $4.99 (about £3).

Grounded ModeEdit

On the single-player side, it adds the new difficulty tier, Grounded Mode. "Grounded Mode is "the hardest challenge you'll ever face as you try to complete the single-player campaign of The Last of Us," said Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli on the PlayStation Blog. "The AI is relentless, smart, and brutal, and survival will be near impossible. 'Completed Grounded Mode' might be one of the most difficult Trophies you'll ever earn."

Reclaimed Territories MapsEdit

The Grounded Bundle featured the all new Reclaimed Territories Map Pack, which features four new stages: Wharf, Capitol, Coal Mine, and Water Tower. Wharf is set in the area where players first encounter Robert in the single-player campaign, Capitol is a Boston-based mix of indoor and outdoor combat, Coal Mine is a snowy open map set in Colorado, and Water Tower is a relatively tight outdoor map based in Philadelphia. The Reclaimed Territories Map Pack is priced at $9.99 standalone (about £6).

There's also a new batch of weapons players can purchase for $5.99 (about £3.50) in the Survivalist Weapon Bundle. This comes with four new weapons, including a silenced assault rifle called the Specter, Double barreled shotgun, the highly accurate "Enforcer" pistol, and a grenade launcher.

Survival SkillsEdit

Furthermore, players can buy add-ons that bring new skills to the mix with the Situational Survival Skills Bundle and Professional Survival Skills Bundle, each priced at $3.99 (about £2.50). The former comes with Agility, which lets you climb, vault and move faster; Awareness, a perk that makes enemy nametags appear earlier and stay visible longer when engaged in combat; Fortitude, a skill that gives you more mobility and health when bleeding out; and Scavenger, which increases your chance of getting items from downed foes.

Professional Survival Skills Bundle comes with its own set of four perks. Gunslinger allows you to respawn with more ammo; Bomb Expert makes you immune to your own smoke bombs and lets you set explosives off easier; Executioner gives you bonus shivs every time you craft one and rewards special executions; and Damage Marker makes it so you automatically mark any target you hit and get double XP for doing so.

Additionally, a new weapon became available in Factions even to players without the DLC, the Full-Auto Rifle. As the name implies, it's a fully automatic modified burst rifle that's touted as being a good starter weapon for new recruits.

Players could receive all of the above DLC along with the stellar Left Behind expansion and the first multiplayer add-on, Abandoned Territories, for $19.99 (about £12) in the Season Pass for four weeks - resulting in an 80 per cent savings over buying everything à la carte. After the week of May 13th, the Season Pass was discontinued, though all the DLC was included in The Last of Us's remastered release on PS4.
