Sometime after 2016, the community of Jackson began breeding horses in the area. One foal born during this time was Shimmer, who was kept in the stables.[1]
Events of HBO's The Last of Us[]
In the winter of 2023, Tommy and Maria were giving Joel and Ellie a tour of the town. When they showed them the stables, Ellie was attracted to Shimmer, the girl running over and petting her, asking for her name. She petted her for a while until Maria made her go to her house with her, leaving Shimmer behind with the other horses.[1]
