Background

At some point before the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak, Tahira became the owner of Lone Star Watch & Jewelry in Austin, Texas, alongside Nasir.

Events of HBO's The Last of Us

On September 26, 2003, Nasir was repairing Joel Miller's watch for Sarah when Tahira came running out from the back of the store, declaring that they needed to close early. When Nasir protested that he was helping Sarah, Tahira told him in Arabic that she just got off the phone with her sister and they needed to shut down the store. After giving Sarah the watch, she urged her to go home before rushing her out of the door and locking it.
