An untitled The Last of Us experience, conceptually referred to as the Future Immersive Entertainment Concept, is a conceptual, immersive location-based entertainment (LBE) experience being developed by Sony subsidiaries Sony Pictures, PlayStation Studios, Naughty Dog, and Pixomondo. The concept features a reworked version of Seattle's infected subway tunnels from The Last of Us Part II, specially developed for the experience. Combining the latest technologies, including Sony's Crystal LED panels, engaging audio, haptics, scent, and atmospherics, it is designed to fully immerse participants into the world of The Last of Us by engaging multiple senses and blending elements of virtual reality (VR) with traditional location-based entertainment such as theme park attractions. A proof-of-concept was unveiled by Sony at their CES 2025 press conference.
