The Last of Us Part II: Covers and Rarities is an extended play featuring a collection of acoustic covers from The Last of Us Part II's pre-release marketing, or the game itself. It includes performances from Ashley Johnson (Ellie), Troy Baker (Joel), and guitarist Chris Rondinella. It was released on digital platforms on September 27th, 2021 by Sony Music Entertainment.
A vinyl release of the EP was announced on The Last of Us Day 2021 by Mondo, in partnership with Sony Masterworks and Naughty Dog, with pre-orders available the same day. The vinyl release features artwork by Dani Pendergast and liner notes by game director Neil Druckmann, and is available on 180 gram black or color vinyl.[1]
