The Last of Us Signature Series Strategy Guide and The Last of Us Limited Edition Strategy Guide are a pair of official guide books for The Last of Us published by BradyGames in collaboration with Naughty Dog. The strategy guide was released on June 14, 2013, the same day as the video game.

Prior to the release of The Last of Us, the team at BradyGames spent a cumulative 16 days meeting with the development team at Naughty Dog discussing every aspect of the game. This allowed BradyGames to create what Naughty Dog would later call "the most comprehensive look at The Last of Us you'll find outside the walls of Naughty Dog". The guide was made available for pre-order in May 2013 through Amazon and GameStop in two varieties: the Signature Series guide for $19.99 and the Limited Edition guide for $34.99. Both versions released the same day as the game, June 14, 2013.[1][2]

Signature Series[]
The book contains walkthroughs for every chapter of the game with detailed descriptions of what to expect in each enemy encounter as well as where to find weapons, ammo, crafting materials, and collectibles. Location details are accompanied by highly detailed aerial views of every single player and multiplayer map. There are tips for earning all of the trophies and there are guides on how to take advantage of stealth and other gameplay mechanics such which weapons to use in each situation and what to expect from each of the weapon upgrades. Lastly, there are character profiles and descriptions of all the people encountered throughout the story.[2][3]
Limited Edition[]
The Limited Edition was a premium hardcover version of the guide featuring the same content as the Signature Series guide. The Limited Edition was bundled with a replica Firefly pendant keychain which was not available for individual purchase.[2][4]
