The Wells & Balestra Arcade, also known as the W&B Arcade, is a minor location in The Last of Us Part II. It is an arcade located in the partially-flooded area of downtown Seattle, not far from the coast.[1]
History[]
Background[]
The arcade fell into abandonment sometime after the Cordyceps brain infection took over Seattle. Sometime after the war between the Seraphites and Washington Liberation Front led some of the WLF's soldiers to defect to the Seraphites, Emmett and Zachary broke into the arcade to find supplies on their way to the island. However, they encountered a bloater living within, who killed Zachary. Emmett managed to escape, later writing about the experience.[2]
Events of The Last of Us Part II[]
Ellie enters the W&B Arcade on her way confront Abby Anderson at the aquarium. The security gate at the main entrance is lowered and jammed by a piece of debris, forcing Ellie to get out of her boat and clear the obstruction. As she attempts to get to it, the upstairs floor gives way, dumping her into a closed-in area where she must fight the bloater, feeding on Zachary's corpse, and several runners to escape.
After defeating them, Ellie removes the blockage and raises the gate, allowing her to continue her trek to the aquarium.[1]
